I founded Think Outside Group after decades of leading and growing organisations across sectors from hands-on trade roles to global corporates and, most recently, purpose driven not-for-profits. Throughout this journey, one principle has remained constant: sustainable success comes from clarity of purpose and the courage to think beyond the status quo.

Think Outside Group was created to bring that mindset to association and NFP leaders. Working alongside CEOs, Boards, and teams to tackle complex change, navigate growth, and deliver impact with confidence. Whether it’s guiding a national merger, reforming governance, or helping organisations reinvent their member value, I bring a blend of strategic insight and lived executive experience.

Too often, I see organisations stuck in limiting beliefs, “we’ve always done it this way” or “we don’t have the resources to invest.” Or community based associations that need a reminder that not for profit is a tax status not a strategy. That thinking changes when we adopt a surplus for purpose framework, one where making a profit is not a contradiction to purpose, but the key to funding it.
